Job Description
In this MT position you are the visionary leader and change agent, responsible for driving, implementing and improving maintenance activities, to ensure maximum reliability and uptime of the assets and minimize costs. Reporting to the Site Manager you plan, execute and lead the maintenance activities within the agreed time and QEHS standards. With your hands-on approach, you inspire and lead your maintenance team members, covering different disciplines like E&I, rotating and static. You take pride in your employees and you energize them to seize opportunities and excel as a team, always keeping team spirit high, even in stressful conditions. Your team detects bottlenecks systematically and develops improvement initiatives. Moreover, you know the right balance between preventive and curative maintenance and you develop instruments and methods to reduce maintenance costs, always with safety first. You team up with Planning to develop a maintenance planning for the short and long term. Furthermore, you are the direct link with Operations and Engineering and ensure a flexible cooperation with all parties. With your passion for results, you promote the added value of a pro-active approach, keeping an eye on structure, information, analysis and action. You gain commitment from team leaders and employees and assist (facilitate/coach) them with the implementation, start-up phase and cost control. Your sharp analysis and creative solutions impress demanding manufacturing stakeholders.
Requirements
- University degree in relevant field, e.g. Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
- A proven track record of progressive experience in the manufacturing industry and excellent insight in the process industry
- At least ten years of successful leadership experience in maintenance
- People manager with strong focus on reliability, total quality, customers and cost effectiveness
- Sense of urgency and integrity, a ‘can do’ mentality and hands-on approach
- Demonstrated ability to set priorities, implement change and drive results through people
- Good communication skills, including Dutch and English
