Job Description
You are one of those driven and resourceful candidates, able to assess and execute a variety of projects within the Benelux. Your qualities include teaming up with clients, analyzing client needs and creating tailored solutions. As Industrial EHS consultant you are dimensioning, calculating, preparing and leading EHS support projects to ensure clients are licensed to operate and fully equipped to manage risks. Utilizing your technical abilities, regulatory knowledge and project management skills, you team up with industrial clients to perform audits and investigations, align EHS work processes, arrange permissions and set up monitoring and reporting systems. Moreover you support the client with future changes, such as plant extensions or upcoming regulations. You thrive in a dynamic environment with demanding clients and can manage multiple priorities. Your work may include site studies, gap analysis and BRIs, as well as negotiating with authorities. With your open minded personality, you bridge cultural differences and communicate well with all levels within the organization. Depending on your prior experience and the scope of projects you participate in projects or lead on site project teams. You monitor progress, quality and expenditures and you ensure client satisfaction. Being on top of new developments in EHS, you prepare value added proposals and reports and identify market opportunities. Managing risks, transferring knowledge and obtaining sustainable performance targets are the things that make you tick.
Requirements
- Relevant university degree, e.g. environmental engineering or chemical engineering; additional studies in safety management are a strong plus
- Minimum 5 years of progressive EHS experience in an industrial setting; prior experience in an engineering role desired
- Consistent record of achievement, delivering robust project results
- Expertise in facilitating EHS management, licensing and compliance
- Knowledge of the Dutch regulatory framework required, knowledge of EU regulations desired
- A client and solution focused personality with technical creativity and decisiveness
- Strong interpersonal skills, to establish constructive and lasting relationships with people in a multi-stakeholder environment
